When Vishal approached the Smart Green Card program, his biggest concern was doubting his abilities for EB1A due to his Ph.D. in chemical engineering and his work in the insurance and finance sectors, which seemed contradictory.

 

Our team clarified to Vishal that to qualify for EB1A, one needs to prove their expertise in any area. EB1A doesn’t have any particular educational stipulations. Additionally, we demystified that a Ph.D. or master’s degree is not a requirement for EB1A.

Vishal, one of the earlier members of the Smart Green Card Program, reached out to us for help with his RFE response. Upon analyzing the case for the RFE, our team discovered that h lacked evidence to prove that his work was of major significance to the field.

 

Upon further investigation, our team found that Vishal’s work had been utilized by several others in his field. To demonstrate the impact of his work, he presented a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from his Ph.D. advisor and obtained a few independent letters from individuals who cited his work. Nevertheless, this evidence did not appear to be sufficient for the USCIS officer, resulting in the issuance of an RFE.

 

After carefully analyzing his profile and the grounds for the RFE, our team assisted him in obtaining LoRs from appropriate recommenders.

And guess what? Vishal addressed the RFE response per our guidance with the help of his attorneys and received approval for his EB1A application.

Vishal mentioned that one of the weekly Q&A calls helped him clear his misconception about premium processing. He learned that each EB1A application is adjudicated on its own merits, and premium processing is for expediting the process. As a result, he upgraded his EB1A petition to premium processing and got it approved faster.

 

Vishal’s journey has been a roller-coaster ride, facing many ups and downs in his EB1A journey. However, his hard work and Smart Green Card strategies helped him secure EB1A approval.
